MEET THE SINGERS/MUSICIANS

Sally Rogers

Rogers began her career as a full-time touring musician in 1979, after encouragement from Stan Rogers, the legendary Canadian singer-songwriter. That was followed by an invitation from Garrison Keillor to appear on A Prairie Home Companion. She appeared more than a dozen times on that show, in the wake of 14 recordings. Her travels have taken her to Europe, China, Hungary and Poland, and across the United States. Her new album, "Old Friends I've Never Met" was just released, despite the pandemic. It is her first solo album since 1997!!!

Since COVID times (March 30, to be exact), Sally Rogers has been presenting “A Song A Day Keeps the Virus Away” at 4PM, M-F, live from her Facebook page. This effort has given many a listener a little bit of hope in these dark times and has created a solid fan base for this beloved performer.

Much of Rogers’time is spent teaching music in the public schools as an artist-in-residence. She also tours solo and with her good friend and singing partner, Claudia Schmidt. Her gorgeous singing voice, boundless energy and good humor are welcomed from coast to coast.
