Reggie Garrett (vocals & guitar) & Christine Gunn (cello) are a musical duo of unparalleled emotion and virtuosity. Reggie’s lyricism in his explorations of the variety and subtlety of human experience are supported and propelled into flight by Christine’s dynamic and sensuous musicality. And then there’s Reggie’s voice. As John Platt observes in New Folk Initiative, “… [Reggie] sings in a mellifluous voice reminiscent of Bill Withers or Terry Callier that draws you into the song …”. This unique duo paired up about two years ago and present amazingly eclectic mix of music from many traditions in a rich, luminous musical tapestry.

Reggie Garrett has performed throughout the U.S. and Canada for a number of years, both solo and with his band Reggie Garrett & the SnakeOil Peddlers. He performs mostly original songs mixed with some popular covers and more traditional Folk ballads. He is the purveyor of a unique urban strain of (mostly) acoustic music incorporating a number of diverse influences including: Folk, Blues, Latin rhythms, Gospel, Celtic, Rock, Jazz and more. The result is a musical blend that has been dubbed “Urban Acoustic Folk-Soul” by Dirty Linen magazine. His 2023 cd release, “York’s Lament & other stories”, climbed to #5 on national Folk radio charts. In addition, “Stagecoach Mary” reached #12 and “So Far Away” topped at #3 (both songs from that album).

Cellist/composer Christine Gunn has performed widely as a solo artist, creating richly layered musical tapestries with her looping pedal. She has been noted for her expressiveness and versatility. She is a founding member of the lively acoustic trio Trillian Green, and has performed as an accompanist to hundreds of bands, orchestras, musical theaters and singer-songwriters, both live and recorded. She has played everything from Venezuelan Folk-Rock to Celtic jigs, Classic-Rock to Classical. Her original compositions have graced independent films and performance pieces worldwide.
