Since Pierce Pettis' song "Legacy" provided the title for Windham Hill Records first collection of singer-songwriters, he's been on a roll, writing songs recorded by Garth Brooks, Art Garfunkel, Joan Baez, David Wilcox, Dar Williams, Tim O’Brien, and Dion, among others. A soulful singer and excellent guitarist who began his career in Muscle Shoals recording studios, Pierce has brought his southern roots to the forefront of American folk music.
